On Tuesday, April 23rd, Omonoia Square was transformed into a grand runway, where Parthenis, welcomed summer with a spectacular fashion celebration. Fifty-three models dressed in the Spring/Summer 2024 creations, wore Converse* sneakers, and danced to the rhythms of the large percussion band Quilombo, who set the summer tempo.
The ‘Earthbound’ collection by Parthenis is a hymn to the beauty of simplicity, but also a reminder of the value of sustainable fashion. Orsalia Parthenis, Director of the Fashion house, wanted to emphasize that Parthenis remains committed to the direction of an inclusive and ecologically sensitive Greek fashion sector, aiming to create the crossroads where Greek fashion meets conscience and responsibility. Thus, for the ‘Earthbound’ collection, she envisioned a street fashion show in the heart of the city, in Omonoia, where Athens opens its arms to multiculturalism and diversity.
Therefore, on that special day young adults who arrived in Greece as unaccompanied children in the structures of The HOME Project** NPO, voluntarily shared the catwalk with the models of Parthenis house, to highlight and enhance the beauty of diversity and inclusion.
The creative director of the show was Nikos Yfantis, while the public relations and communication were managed by Newness Agency. The event took place as part of the 34th Athens Fashion Week, with the generous support of Converse, Hondos Center, Redken, and the hospitality of Moxy Athens City hotel.
