On Tuesday November 15th, as part of the 31st Fashion Week Athens Xclusive Designers Week, at the Athens Conservatory, the Parthenis house designer and the Hellenic Fashion Designers Council prsident, Orsalia Parthenis, presented the Spring/Summer 2023 ‘Colorama’ collection. The Arts Foyer was transformed into a color palette embodied by models who were body-painted in calm and joyful colors and wore clothes of simple elegance. These elements compose a collection where peace and well-being are the dominant axes. The special creations were accompanied on the catwalk by Scholl anatomical shoes.
In this emotional show, draped and body-con designs took center stage alongside asymmetric key pieces and relaxed figures. Tie-dye prints and devoré stripes were coordinated to the rhythm of a color chord which was expressed with aquamarine, olive, purple, orange, blue, peach and white. In this new collection the cutouts are a nod to freedom and the loose lines naturally follow the curves of the body, true to the Parthenis style and the fundamental value of non-conformist sensuality. Fluidity is subtly imposed, overturning labels and boundaries. Athleisure and luxury become synonymous concepts, masculine and feminine converge. This is the core of the Parthenis house, perfectly expressed in the Spring/Summer 2023 ‘Colorama’ collection.
The catwalk was transformed into a color spectrum which was musically ‘dressed’ by Die Arkitekt with a live performance of the song of the same title ‘Colors’. An after party followed where the guests enjoyed drinks and cocktails from Stoli vodka while the well-known electronic music producer raised the mood with his wonderful music selections.
